Trow
This reclusive race is perhaps the most rare of all. No one is certain where the trow cities are located, only the general areas of them. One is located in the mountain range that cuts through Dechaine and Salceny, while another is rumored to lie in the Great Barrier Mountains. Very few trow have ever left their subterranean homes and even fewer non-trow have seen a trow city.

Trow have narrowly tapering ears, much like elves. Their skin is palest white and their hair color ranges from dusky grey to pure white.

The trow are reputed to be a very peaceful race, preferring to watch and analyze a situation rather than rushing into it. The few pieces of trow artwork to grace the upper world are a testament to their patience. Excruciatingly exacting work is the trademark of a trow creation. Likewise their dedication to history is renowned. Unlike most, the trow strive to catalog all sides to a tale, rather than just that of the victor.

Legends claim that the trow founded the Order of the Watchers hundreds of years ago and tasked them with guarding the barrier of the Nothing Lands. Few trow have been seen to associate with the Watchers though and the tasks of the Watchers are certainly far more varied than that. As a result, most simply attribute this legend to their shared dedication to history and carefully planned action.

Special Rules

Trow characters may purchase any of the following abilities: Stoic Mind and Stoneskin. These abilities may be purchased a maximum of three times, though the full cost must be paid each time. Characters must receive plot permission to play a trow.

Required Makeup

Trow players must wear prosthetic ears. Full white facial makeup must be worn. Additionally, the hair should be colored white or gray.

Trow Cultural Variations

Note: Trow characters may require plot permission.

Andrynn

No one is certain if there is even still a city of trow in the Great Barrier Mountains to the west of Andrynn. None have been seen in the area in quite some time. It is commonly believed that tragedy befell these trow and that those few who might remain have been driven mad either from grief or from their proximity to the Nothing Lands. Their Salcenian cousins mourn them as dead. They are often used as an example to youths who wish to travel too far from home, for the Andrynnian trow were originally from Salceny. It was some time after they abandoned their birth home that tragedy struck them.

Salceny

The trow who reside in the Sanguine Divide Mountains in Northern Salceny are more outgoing than their Andrynn cousins ever were. These mountains are the original home of the trow and contain all of their histories. Their city is well established and does not suffer from the xenophobic fear that seemed to strike the trow who traveled to Andrynn. They are still reclusive, but simply because they are content with their way of life and see no need to alter it by conversing with the races that reside above them.

Life within the Sanguine Divide is governed by routine. An informal council governs any conflicts, but day-to-day life moves forward with the weight of years of established pattern. Of late, more youngsters have longed to travel out into the world. This increasing restlessness is very disturbing to the elders.
